Religion

Many times i have wondered what if I was born something other then a Roman Catholic? Many people claim that they're religion is "right" but what if you had been born into a different society and were a practicing member of a different religion? Seeing as how most of us have only been shown one religion how are we to know that this is necessarily the religion we ourselves want to follow? Although our religion is great I do not know if i could answer the question would i convert to Christianity if i was put into a religion different then my own

If I was born into a different religion, i believe I would not convert. I see my religion now as right and all the others as wrong so why would I think otherwise if I was Lutheran for example. For the most part, you believe what you were brought up to believe. I am grateful that I was born a Catholic but I don't believe i would turn Catholic if i wasn't born one. That's how I would answer that question.

If I was born into another religion, I probably wouldn't have converted to another religion at this point. I don't see other religions as wrong, every religion has something valuable to offer, and they all have their problems (or rather their followers cause problems. Most of the time the religion itself doesn't cause controversy, but the way it's followers interpret it). So at this point, being the self reflective person I am now, I would have come to the same conclusions on religion I have come to now. Many times the religion people keep their whole lives is based purely on what they were born with, and I've met people who haven't thought about it or don't care enough to make up their own minds. I think the only way to know what religion is right for you, is to survey all of them, and to keep an open mind to different ideas, not to close ourselves off from ideas contradictory to what we were taught from birth.

Many people turn to religion for comfort in a time of crisis. they pray to go through hard times in their lives. and i too turn to prayers in struggling times.also many people turn to religion for answers and to learn more about their creator.Other turn to religion to have something to believe in when everything fails.

If I was born into a different religion I do not think I would convert. If I grew up, say in the Jewish religion, I would think that the Jewish religion has the most to offer for me and that is how I feel about, The Catholic Church which I was born into. I am not saying that my beliefs and my religion is any better than anyone else because as we all know the Catholic Church has gone throught some rough times. All religions have something to offer. I believe that most people will feel that the religion they were born into has the most to offer for themselves.
