The Shirt Before The Shirt
The "shirt before the shirt" is a play on a term used by The Situation on Jersey Shore, for all of those who didn't know. But my real point is Lent, and how we should be preparing for it. Even though Lent is already a preparation for Jesus' ultimate sacrifice, shouldn't we always be in that constant state of Temperance? So the "shirt before the shirt" means we should be preparing for the preparation, which can seem redundant, but in actuality it makes sense. So ponder on that for awhile.

Well John I've been pondering on you giving another meaning to "the shirt before the shirt" and it really does make sense. We should always be preparing for the preparation and year round we should be preparing for Lent.

John that is a very good idea. But as a Catholic i think that we should always be prepared for God because we are graced with his presence every Sunday. God is always with us and I think that it was a poor decision by the Church to make that time of the year where people have to get up and go to mass. People should always be prepared for god.
