Writing Songs

Writing songs is harder than you think. Alot of musicians don't even write thier own songs they use other peoples. The process is fun and it takes alot of deep thought. Especially when you want the song to make sense and fit together. Writing songs expresses your feelings at that moment and the great music you like bursts up inside you and you just sing along or rap to it.

Sometimes I hear some famous musicians talk about their work and I am amazed at where their ideas originate and how some songs came easily and some took a long, long time.

Writing music might be like writing stories..... fun, but lots of work. And sometimes you have to stop what you are doing when you get an idea and write it down immediately.

I admire musician and poets. They say big ideas in few words. I hope you will always enjoy composing.

Writing music isn't hard at all. Its trying not to be cliche and still sounding good that is the hard part. And putting the words to music is even harder. Play some Am's, G's, and D's and talk about rock and roll and you have and ACDC song, but trying to be original in 2011 is tough. Who knows what the next big type of music will be.

I agree I think that would be pretty hard. Most of the old musicians used drugs to help their song writing. They overdosed because they became hooked on them, not because they enjoyed them as much as they thought they couldn't write sober anymore. To write songs you must sometimes let out things that are difficult to let out and that can change a lot of people, so it is harddd.
