Group projects - good or bad?
Teachers are told that learning how to collaborate is one of the most valued skills wanted by the business and academic world. All of us have done group projects and it looks as though that is going to continue. What is the worst part of group projects? The best part? What has worked best for you - assigned groups, random groups, or being able to choose your friends? Explain.

The bad part of doing group projects is sometimes it can be hard to organize the work into one document. The best part of doing a group project is that it helps our collaboration skills which could be useful in the future. Being able to choose your friends is the best way to do group projects. You are the most comfortable with these people and don't have a problem telling them what to do.
I believe that group projects have some pros and cons. The pros are that it builds the peoples' ability to work in groups and to communicate with other people. For most projects there are many different jobs that have to be done. This is another reason why it is good to have a group, because if one of the people is not very creative than maybe another member of the group can complete the creative parts of the project. Some of the cons of group projects are that people need to be able to work on their own. Independence is a very important trait that we must possess, because if you have a job that requires you to work on your own and complete tasks this is essential. Another con is that you may end up with a group in which some of the members take advantage of others and one person ends up doing all the work. However, overall I believe that group projects are the better option.
